Wessex are recognised as the U.K.s leading provider of fixed furniture and sanitary
ware for the Prison and Secure Accommodation market, as well as Police Custody
Areas, Courts, Mental Healthcare Units, and Institutions for Young Offenders.
SECURE ACCOMMODATION MARKET
We design,
manufacture and install a range of fixed furniture and sanitary ware,
both “bespoke” where
the refurbishment of existing accommodation is required, and “production” where
large numbers of identical rooms need furnishing. The former market
is currently
supplied through the use of Solid Surface Materials (SSM) whilst the
latter is supplied through the use of our own branded material, a thermoplastic
alloy called “Sysex”. Furniture and sanitary ware in both
materials are manufactured to a ligature free specification.
The success of projects in the last twelve months such as HMP Hull, HMP Birmingham and Sussex PFI have earned us a proven track record of being able to complete multi-million pound projects on time and within budget.
The Secure Accommodation market accounts for 90% of our business, and that still leaves 10% for a very special and different market. System Wessex can offer you a high quality and bespoke service for all your solid surface requirements. Whether it happens to be vanity basins for a commercial cruise liner, a new galley top for a luxury yacht, kitchen worktops, reception counter for a hotel or part of a store refurbishment project – System Wessex offer exceptional expertise in crafting your designs using solid surface material.
